An Intense and Thrilling Formula 2 European Championship Comes to an End.
The Formula 2 European Championship concluded after a weekend filled with tension, excitement, and high-stakes racing. Following a series of spectacular performances, Nikita Litjcs emerged as the new European Champion, demonstrating consistency and impressive speed throughout the competition. Edgaras Riabko secured a well-earned second place, while Hilmer Wiber claimed third place after a hard-fought battle.
Unfortunately, the race was not without incident. Dainis Podzuks collided with Jarno Vilmunen during the event. Thankfully, both drivers escaped uninjured. Jarno’s boat sustained minor damage and a few technical malfunctions, while Dainis’ boat was severely damaged, forcing him to withdraw from the competition.
Another dramatic moment occurred when Tino Lehto’s boat capsized mid-race. He was promptly transported by medical personnel for a thorough health examination.
Despite the challenges, the championship left a lasting impression on both spectators and competitors. Congratulations to the winners, and we wish a swift recovery to the athletes involved in the incidents!
Next race meeting where the F2 teams will compete is the first round of the world championship in Brindisi, Italy on 27-29 June 2025.
