Lietuvos Motorlaivių Federacija (LMF) President Karolis Ramoska shared his thoughts on the upcoming F2 & F4 Season Starters

Upon requested, LMF President gave us an insight view on the preparations and challenges of the Klaipeda F2 & F4 Race Weekend.

“Preparations for this year’s World Championship have been more intensive than ever before. It feels like every year we set ourselves bigger goals, but this year we have probably gone beyond what seemed possible only a short time ago.

Every year we raise the bar higher, and this year we are hosting not only the UIM Formula 2 World Championship, but also the UIM Formula 4 World Championship.

That alone represents a huge organizational challenge. However, Edgaras Riabko and I decided not to stop there. Together, we set ourselves an even more ambitious goal and proposed joining forces with the Klaipėda Boat Show team to create one major event stretching throughout the entire historic center of Klaipėda.

Alongside the World Championship races, an international yacht and recreational boating exhibition will take place, while on Saturday the Klaipėda State Musical

Theatre will host an international maritime forum. An event of this scale, combining top-level powerboat racing with the boating industry and maritime community, has never been organized in Lithuania before.

As every year, we face many challenges. Temporarily restricting activities in one of the busiest ports in the Baltic Sea region is not a simple task. But these are exactly the kinds of challenges that motivate us to keep moving forward. I am truly grateful for the strong partnership we have built with the City of Klaipėda and the Port of Klaipėda. Without their support and trust, an event of this magnitude would not be possible.

This year we are also proud to announce another major step forward – the championship will be broadcast live through the most-watched television network group in Lithuania. This is another important milestone in making our sport more visible, more accessible, and more attractive to a wider audience.

We are especially proud of a truly historic milestone for Lithuanian technical sports. The Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania, Inga Ruginienė, has become the official patron of the World Championship and will attend the event in person to watch the races and present awards to the athletes. This level of support and recognition from the highest level of government is unprecedented for our sport and means a great deal to our entire community.

We are also honored that, for the first time in history, UIM President Raffaele Chiulli will visit Lithuania. His presence highlights the growing importance of our event within the international powerboating community and demonstrates the confidence that the UIM places in our organization and our country.

I am very proud that this project, created together with Edgaras Riabko, contributes not only to promoting Lithuania internationally but also to increasing the visibility and recognition of the UIM brand and powerboat racing throughout our region and around the world. We are equally proud that every year we continue to raise the standards of event organization, race management, and television production.

I would like to invite everyone to come to Klaipėda and experience it all in person. No television broadcast can fully capture the speed, the sound, the atmosphere, and the emotions that can be felt standing next to the race course. Join us in Klaipėda and witness one of the largest technical sports events in the Baltic region.

Come and become part of this story.”
