Seventeen drivers from nine different nations have arrived in Sasolburg, South Africa to compete in the final round of the 2014 F-2 World championship. The race will take place on Sunday 14/12/2014 at the beautiful Abrahamsrust Resort, Vaalpark on the river Vaal. The race being organised by the local Free State Authority will decide who will become F-2 world champion. Erik Stark of Sweden, racing the General Telecom sponsored Molgaard hull would appear to be the clear favourite with an eighteeen point adavantage to his cloesest rival. Peter Morin of France racing the China Team sponsored Moore hull, has had an exceptional first season in F-2 currently laying second in the Championship with an outside chance to take the title.
Local hopes will be on Wynand De Jager racing the Team Baba Racing hull, and Attie Tromp in the DAC hull both from South Africa.
If weather conditions follow the pattern of the last few days we can look forward to calm racing conditions on the river Vaal. With Free Practice and Qualification taking place on Saturday and the main race scheduled for 15:30 on Sunday.
