The Q1 session was showing that Stark, Lundin, Temper and Erik Edin of Sweden were showing good pace and that we could be in for a close session in Q2.
The Q2 session was following the same pattern as Q1 only this time Lundin edging ahead of Stark when the session had to be stopped when Bimba Sjöholm of Sweden and Mette B. Bjerknæs of Norway had a coming together at the top turn buoy. Thankfully neither lady were hurt in the incident but unfortunately both will not take part in the race on Sunday due to both boats being unrepairable.
By Q3 it appeared poll position would go to either Stark, Lundin or Temper with Stark’s time of 42:34 Lundin knew what he had to do as he was the last driver to take to the water. Then disaster stuck when his boat run out of fuel just as he was starting his final run. Meaning for the race he will have to start from 10th position.
